Show off your favorite pens with our minimalist holder/display inspired by a request from a self described fountain-pen-enthusiast. They were looking for a holder that wouldn't hide the pen, but would instead act as a display. Not being a fountain-pen guy myself, I asked a few questions and got to work. Some prototypes and testing resulted in the design here. It's made from natural walnut wood (no stains), every piece requires precise cuts and careful machine sanding, but even with those some final hand-sanding persuasion is needed for the pieces to fit "just right". After a final easing over of the edges, a coat of hand-applied linseed oil shows off the natural beauty of the walnut. Your holder will vary slightly from the pictures as it is made from natural wood that has its own grain pattern and color. Wood Species: Solid Walnut (no stains or dyes) Finish: Linseed Oil Dimensions: 4" tall x 6" wide x 1-1/2" deep Pen Opening: 5/8" hole Capacity: Five Packaging: Ships well protected
