- Routine Cleaning: Dirt and smudges? Wipe down wood surfaces with a clean, soft cloth dampened with warm water (wring the cloth out thoroughly before wiping).
- Stubborn Marks: For sticky residue or persistent dirt, add a drop of mild dish soap to your damp cloth, gently wipe the area, and immediately dry with a clean towel.
- Keep Dry: Never soak wooden products in water, place them under running taps, or put them in a dishwasher. Excessive moisture causes wood grain to raise, joints to weaken, and wood fibers to swell and warp. (just to be safe, don’t feed after midnight)
- Chemicals to Avoid: All of them.
- Indoor Climate: Happy Bungalow products are best kept indoors at a temperature and humidity comfortable to people.
- Seasonal Movement: Seasonal changes in humidity will cause wood to expand and contract.
- Natural Aging & Patina: The wood may change color slightly as it ages (this is natural); light wood will darken and dark wood will lighten.
