Howl at the moon! The monster toy that's not so scary - the wooden werewolf! This sometimes human, other times wolf person is made from natural white oak. Oak, the mighty tree that gives us the tiny acorn. Oak is, of course, known as the moon-wood as it's acorns are only germinated under the light a full (or near-full) moon. Some go so far as to call it the were-tree. So it is a natural fit for this toy. We're kidding. As far as we know oak trees grow their acorns in no relation to the moon's cycles. We picked white oak because it looks sort of like fur (were-tree just sounds better). The werewolf toy stands a bit under 5 inches tall, 2-1/2 inches wide, and is about 3/4 inch thick. As with all our toys, we've sanded the wood and all the edges edges of this howl at the mooner smooth so it will be delicate in the hands of your little one. This toy is intended for children over 3. It's not a teether, but is safe if toddlers take a taste test. This toy is finished with a natural and non-toxic beeswax polish we make ourselves and leaves this wood toy with a silky smooth finish.
