Goats don’t really eat tin cans. They’re smarter than that. They’re actually picky eaters searching out nutritious food (and if we consider cans a possible dietary supplement, we’d probably all consider ourselves picky eaters). They are curious animals though, poking around for the best eats, so occasionally you might find them sniffing around and old tin can or two. But they won’t eat the can, just the leftovers inside of it.
And while we’re onto correcting misnomers, tin cans aren’t made of tin; they’re made of steel. Tin was used as a coating (tin is less corrosive than steel), but now not as much.
But you didn’t come here for some meandering talk. You’re interested in a wooden goat toy. We’ve made our particular goat from red oak (tiny acorn, mighty tree; you know the drill). Our kids here at the Bungalow love feeding the goats whenever we visit the farm, so playing with this toy always brings up happy memories. We hope it will be equally fond in your heart.
The goat is about 3 inches long, 3 inches high, and a bit under an inch thick. As with all our toys, we’ve sanded the wood and all the edges edges of this toy smooth so it will be delicate in the hands of your little one (or anyone really).
This toy is intended for children over 3. It’s not a teether, but is safe if toddlers take a taste test. This goat is finished with a natural and non-toxic beeswax polish we make ourselves and leaves this wood toy with a smooth finish. All colors you see are natural – we use no stains, dyes, or paint.
All Happy Bungalow toys come with a use & care guide along with 10 year warranty. Our toys are rough and tumble and ready for fun. Note that pictures are representative. Every toy is unique so grain orientation and color may vary (images with more than one animal show how different animals vary).
Interested in purchasing more than we have listed? No problem. We can make as many as you need (typically with quick turn around times). Just send an email to email@example.com or contact us via our website.
