This ankylosaurus is made from natural green poplar wood. We've sanded the wood and all corners smooth so this toy will be delicate in the hands of your little one. Or you! Joy-loving adults are guaranteed to have as much fun with this dino as gleeful children. The dinosaur is about 6 inches long, 2-1/2 inches high, and a bit under an inch thick. It's not a teether, but is safe if toddlers take a taste test. This toy is finished with a natural and non-toxic beeswax polish we make ourselves and leaves this wood toy with a smooth finish. All colors you see are natural - we use no stains, dyes, or paint. A note about green poplar: The wood is not green in terms of seasoning, but rather in color. The color is natural and will eventually oxidize to a brown color. Exposure to sunlight will accelerate this. How long will it take? It could be six months, it could be a decade. We can't say for certain as this is a natural product and depends on how much time it spends in direct sunlight. All of the materials we use are non-toxic. And fun!
